EPAWI gathers 4 clusters: Inno’vin, AgroFood & Bioeconomy agency, INNOVI and ADVID, which represent a major part of the wine ecosystems in France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
INNO’VIN is the only French cluster specialised in wine innovation. Its 180 members (85% enterprises, 80% auxiliary of the wine industry, 90% SMEs) represent nearly 8000 jobs and 4 billion € of turnover.
INNOVI has a total of 75 members with a grouped turnover for 1.500 million euros and 12.500 workers. 50% of it belongs to industrial and service providers. and 25% to universities and technology centers.
AgriFood and Bioeconomy Agency is the manager of the agri-food cluster for Friuli Venezia Giulia (FVG). The AgrifoodFVG supports companies in the reference sectors from the concept development phase, to the procedural and economic feasibility check, up to their actual implementation. In FVG there are about 800 companies in the food & beverage sector, while in the agricultural sector there are about 14.000 companies. In the Wine sector, 5.000 wineries are established in the region.
ADVID, the Managing Entity of the Portuguese Vine and Wine Cluster, brings together 175 wine companies and works in partnership with 75 academic, public and business entities. With almost 40 years working in the wine sector, ADVID represents more than 80% of the total wine production in Portugal, and has a dedicated R&D department, CoLAB VINES&WINES, which constitutes a new project approach in Portugal, established in proximity with the final users of science and technology.
